Appointment to the faculty of The Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery requires that all applicants be Fellows of The Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery and have Board Certification or equivalent.
Instructor – Requirements for Instructor include Fellowship in The Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery and Board Certification or equivalent and experience in teaching Minimal Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgery either academically or clinically.
Assistant Professor of Surgery – Requirements for Assistant Professor of Surgery include Fellowship in The Academy of Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgery, Board Certification or equivalent, and at least one publication.
Associate Professor of Surgery – Requirements for Associate Professor of Surgery include Fellowship in The Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery, Board Certification or equivalent, and five publications.
Full Professor Surgery – Requirements for Professor of Surgery include Fellowship in The Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery, Board Certification or equivalent, publication of a book, or original surgical procedure, or ten articles on Minimal Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgery.
In order to maintain your faculty status, a minimum of one article published in five years is required.
