RETALIATION

More and more, health care providers are employees of hospitals and medical groups. Sometimes, their employment is terminated. Was it a result of retaliation? Did you, the employee, resist sexual advances? Complain about discrimination? Request reasonable accommodation for a disability or your religion? Report your boss for harassing you? You might have a claim of retaliation; especially, if you are terminated or disciplined in close time proximity to your complaint. Consult with a health care attorney to see what your rights are. It also depends upon if you are working for a private or public entity.

See you next week.
