A Message From the President

MichaelFanous_new

In October of 2010 the Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery had the annual Cadaver Seminar for the first time since Katrina in New Orleans, at The LSU School of Medicine.  Much to our surprise, the facilities at the medical school were state of the art, with simulating labs that meet the most scrutinizing eyes.  The conference was a big success, thanks to all the Board of Directors, faculty and staff who made it happen.  We hope all those who were unable to attend the Cadaver Seminar in October of 2010 will participate in the upcoming May of 2011 Cadaver Conference in New Orleans.

The Academy continues to strive to propagate minimal incision techniques and office based surgery accreditation nationally as well as internationally.

It is my pleasure to note that the Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery continues its mission and accomplishments in improving public health not only nationally but worldwide.

On another note, it is with pleasure that I will be lecturing in the upcoming AEMIS conference in Madrid, Spain in July of 2011.  I look forward to share with you the collaborative findings and techniques internationally with our European colleagues.

As President, I would invite and encourage you to submit any feedback, concerns, or suggestions for future conferences and lectures.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the next Cadaveric Conference.

Respectfully yours,

Dr. Michael Fanous, DPM, MHA, MS, F.A.A.F.A.S.

President  & Co-Scientific Chairman
