Neuroma

Neuroma

A neuroma is a painful swelling or growth of nerve tissue most commonly between the 3rd and 4th toe bones. Neuromas may be caused by tight or poorly fitted shoes. High heels may also contribute to painful neuromas. Symptoms may include a sharp, burning, tingling, or numbing sensation in the ball of the foot. There are different treatment options available and the Doctor will determine the best course of action based on clinical and diagnostic evaluations.
