The Academy of Ambulatory

Dr. Michael Fanous is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Class of 1987 and has been a member of The Academy since 1994.  Dr. Fanous has double Master's Degrees, an M.H.A. (Master of Health & Hospital Administration) and an M.S. (Master of Science in Gerontology and Health Services Management).  Dr. Fanous is President and CEO of Advanced Medical Management, a consulting firm for hospitals and health care organizations.  Dr. Fanous is triple Board Certified; he is a Diplomat of the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry.  Dr. Fanous is certified in Rear-foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery, Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery, and Board Certified in Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Fanous was founder and former Director and Chief of Podiatric Surgery Residency Training Program at Anaheim General Hospital in California.  Dr. Fanous serves as an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy, Epidemiology, and Medical Ethics at the University of La Verne and Chapman University in California.  Dr. Fanous has lectured extensively around the country and internationally.  Dr. Fanous' passion is Diabetic Limb Salvage and Reconstruction.  He enjoys travelling and riding his Harley Davidson.
